TUESDAYS

4:30-5:30pm Sean-nós

Students will continue to build their skills improvising to jigs, reels, and hornpipes in a traditional learning environment. Students will build their repertoire of steps, work on percussive technique, and develop their musical ear.

If student is new to sean-nós dancing, please contact Ashlee at info@shannondunnedance.com to discuss placement.

5:30-6:30pm Set and Social Dancing

In this “after school céilí” students will learn social dancing figures and footwork. A range of dances will be taught including kitchen dances from Donegal, set dances from County Clare, and more! The goal is to expand children’s awareness and facility in social dancing, improvise with their footwork, and prepare children for céilís, performances, and the fleadh.

6:30-7:30pm Irish Tunes

All instrument tune class. Students should be able to play by ear and/or read ABC notation. Recommended 2 years of playing recommended. Contact Ashlee at info@shannondunnedance.com for placement information.
